Overview
Fundere is a robust web platform built for charity organizations to create campaigns, showcase their activities, manage their team and engage with donors. Built with Spring Boot 2.2 and Angular 8.
The platform covers the operational surface of a non-profit organization, from campaign management and event promotion to contact handling and role-based user access. The design philosophy was: it should be elegant, uncluttered, and built to feel trustworthy to the donors it is meant to engage.
I adore this application, not for any particular technical reason, but because of what it represents: a piece of software built for people doing genuinely good work. The design was a deliberate choice: simple and elegant, because the organizations using it shouldn’t have to wrestle with their own tools.
Features
Fundere covers the operational surface a charity organisation needs to run effectively; six capabilities, each handling a distinct part of the workflow.
Publish and manage past and upcoming events, keeping donors and supporters informed and engaged.
Showcase charity and donation initiatives with rich detail, giving each campaign a dedicated space to tell its story and also providing the context to donors.
Present team members and their roles, building trust and transparency with donors and the communities you serve.
Manage enquiries and suggestions from current and prospective donors.
Securely manage users and roles within the organisation, ensuring the right people have access to the right parts of the platform.
Data changes are instantly propagated across the platform using STOMP over WebSocket, ensuring users always see the latest information without polling or refreshing.
Bottom Line
A complete operational platform for charity organizations: campaigns, events, team, donors, and user management all in one place.
Security is not an afterthought, role-based access control is enforced at the API level, ensuring users only interact with what they are permitted to see.
The design was the product decision. Simple and elegant was the goal, not just a style preference. A platform donors trust begins with an interface they trust.
